1972 Jayco Camper Makeover

So, we have wanted to buy a camper for quite a while now... thus we finally took the plunge when we came across an offer we couldn't refuse. We found this old vintage 1972 Jayco Jaywren Travel Trailer on a local classified site and made a quick impulsive purchase.

Let the fun (hopefully not stressful) times begin while we turn this old junker camper into a glamorous home away from home. "Glamping" here we come! :)

I have posted some "BEFORE" pictures. Stay tuned for more updates and pictures of our adventures.

    1. Peter: Our furnace is non-functional as well, we just use a space heater. I do not know of any places that would have parts. Good Luck!

  3. We recently purchased a 1976 Jayco Jay Raven camper. Much like yourself, it was our impulse purchase. I have always wanted a vintage camper that could be a family project and lead to simply wonderful memories as a family. (Simple phone free time for children and adults...who knew? ) We have just started to make repairs, and I am having trouble finding information about this camper. I love owners manuals, but do not have one in camper. First timers here... We want to make it fun and keep it simple. Please share your wisdom, and any other sources for specific information that will be useful during this project. A few of the repairs we need to make include:
Sealing the ac unit on roof, recoat roof, drain and repair crack in black or gray water tank, and figure out how to hook everything up and see if it works! All advice, suggestions and resources will be greatly appreciated. Currently feeling very clueless. :)
